Textile animator
– When I was ten years old I wanted to be prime minister or minister for the environment. But I also have a memory from when I was four. I thought that when I was grown up I would like to clip and paste – I saw a whole workshop in front of me where I sang and worked with clay… and I thought that’s what I want to do! I had no word for artist, but I had a vision.
Karin has just taken her master’s exam at the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design. Now she has all the time in the world for what she wants to do.
I was completely enchanted by Lilla Hyttnäs. When I came in and saw the combination of colours and patterns and styles it was a little like entering one of my films. Every room is like a scene in a film. I mix in the same way and combine embroidery and paper.
